Today we will address a simple yet profound issue that faces each one of us every single day. Can we honestly define our sales or service proposition into a 4 second response?
Think about it....in today's world of Social Media distortion and breakneck media consumption, are YOU able to stand out in a crowd with a punch in the face buying proposition , but more importantly , an “ ease of ownership “ protocol that surpasses any competitor ?
Sometimes what is needed is simply a fresh set of eyes and a fresh perspective on how and what we offer in the marketplace. Sadly, it happens , and I see it everyday. A critical marketing and sales component that keeps getting overlooked.
My message today is to let's move away from “ business as usual “ and begin to reinvent our sales and marketing, and begin to have some fun with it, and open the windows of creativity and allow that Salt Air Gospel to begin to take hold of our old thinking.
Start to ask friends and trusted associates.
Start to Google ad ideas on similar types of business, you will be surprised of what is going on 200 miles north of you.
Invite advertising channels and media outlets to develop and design new creative for you, with the firm understanding that you will invest in the right advertising IF the message they develop is perfectly suited to GETTING RESULTS from their media format.
I have sold Millions and Millions of dollars of advertising by simply doing that: SELL THE CLIENT A CREATIVE IDEA THAT DEMONSTRATES THAT THE AD CAMPAIGN WILL GET RESULTS.
You need to expect more that simply a bobble head order taker from your media suppliers. If they cannot design and demonstrate HOW TO USE THEIR MEDIA PLATFORMS with efficiency and with results, its time to fire them, I am dead serious.
What is the main role of an ad agency? To develop creative ideas that apply directly to the media the client is investing in. If your creative sucks, your money will continue to be a very poor investment. USE THE TOOLS YOU HAVE IN FRONT OF YOU. Need help or advice? Call me.

The ads were covered in the local media. The ads were covered on National Media outlets, and finally the ad was discussed in the opening monologue of the Conan O'Brien show.

Take the risks.
Evaluate your offer within a 4 second time frame.

Get on Google Images and start to do the homework on your industry and start to cross pollinate IDEAS.
