TESTIMONIALS: See what our members and the community are saying about the Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce
Becoming a member of the Key West Chamber of Commerce was one of the best decisions I made after moving here in 2010. The organization does a great job of creating and continuously providing personal and professional growth opportunities. I have attended many functions and events held by the chamber including After Hours, informative Chamber luncheons, Christmas in July, Galas, trade shows and ribbon cuttings to name a few. By joining the Chamber and being an active member, it allows me to be a part of the community forming strong relationships with other members. Through these relationships we can network and refer each other to get business. People like to do business with people they know, like and trust. The Chamber provides value to its members by conducting Zoom networking events, highly informative presentations with key government and area leaders, and continuously provides research information about tourism,
Hotel occupancy, Cruise ship schedules, updated airport information, road closures etc. The entire team at the Chamber is always there to help and support each of their members. I’m grateful that I am part of such an amazing organization. |
I’ve been in business for 18 years offering custom apparel and promotional items. I specialize in increasing retail sales for local resorts, retailers and bars/restaurants. So joining the Chamber was a no brainer! It gives me the opportunity to network, connect with my clients and build new relationships.
I also own a private boat company, Fish ‘N Chicks Charters, and have found value with my membership with my new business. And, the Chamber events let me get the word out about local discounts for my locals and military clientele! Raquel Crummitt, Regional Sales Manager, Brown & Bigelow & Owner, Fish 'N Chicks Charters |
As a new, independent small business, it was important for me to find a way to showcase my locally owned store to a diverse mix of other businesses and community partners in Key West. The Key West Chamber of Commerce has provided me that platform through luncheons, after hours and support from the chamber staff. My biggest surprise was the Chamber, which I once thought was made-up of large corporations and businesses, is mostly small business owners like myself, that understand local challenges and local opportunities. To have those like-minded friends and partners consistently supporting one another is invaluable to small business owners like me.

Being a Chamber member since 1999 and past Chamber President (2008) I know the value that the KW Chamber provides to our island. The KW Chamber is always advocating for the Key West community and provides excellent networking opportunities for local businesses.

As Key West’s Hometown Bank, First State Bank’s mission is to serve the residents and businesses of Key West and the Florida Keys. To help them succeed. The Key West Chamber of Commerce shares this mission to ensure the success of every local business member and the entire Key West community.
We view a Key West Chamber of Commerce membership as an essential component of any local business plan. KWCC provides its members fantastic networking opportunities with like-minded members of the business community, invaluable research and data on market trends throughout our island, first-hand access to government officials and local decision makers, and countless opportunities to contribute to the greater good, by collectively partnering with fellow members to support our local first responders, military, educators, promising graduates, and those in need. It is often said, you get back what you put in. After nearly four decades of membership, we firmly believe this could be no truer than with the KWCC. Join, get involved, be active and you will see all the benefits the KWCC can offer. Karen M Sharp, President and CEO, First State Bank of the Florida Keys |
Casa Marina and The Reach have been proud and engaged members of the Key West Chamber of Commerce for 35 years. It’s a membership we value highly not only for the networking opportunities within the business community or their up to date communications on the state of affairs from a business standpoint but also for the many marketing opportunities and the give back to the community through programs like educational scholarships. We were humbled and honored to have been recognized within our community as 2020 recipients of 2 awards from this esteemed organization. Casa Marina, who just celebrated our first 100 Years, received the Historic Preservation Award and The Reach Key West – the Business for Beauty Award for our resort renovation’s contribution to overall attractiveness of Key West.

Working with Kerry Baker and the Chamber has been a very professional experience for the past 12 years. They have been very organized when setting up luncheons, trade shows, training classes, annual banquets, and charity events such as the annual golf tournaments we help sponsor. The chamber staff has always been there when we have questions or need changes to their web site or anything else and I cannot think of anytime in 12 years they have not responded promptly and in a cheerful manner.

Our partnership with the Key West Chamber of Commerce is a wonderful benefit as our affiliation helps us to maintain important relationships and visibility within our community. The Key West Chamber provides an array of networking events, educational programs and leadership opportunities as well as educates members about all of the wonderful things our town has to offer as well as partnering with us and highlighting how we can benefit chamber members.

My $343 Key West Chamber annual membership fee has proven to be the best investment I have ever made with my company marketing dollars. Over the last three years; I have been awarded projects that equated to around $800,000 in business due to my membership and involvement in the Chamber. As a business owner; getting the most bang for the buck is very important. I absolutely love being part of an organization of fellow business owners and business leaders that are invested emotionally and financially to our island home. They pay property taxes here, they invest in businesses here and they support our community non-profits & scholarship funds. I am truly a proud member of the Key West Chamber and value the friendships I have developed over the years.

We have been business owners in Key West for 25 years and the Chamber of Commerce has been an invaluable tool to understanding what is going on in the business community.
