KEY WEST CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COMMITTEES
You can be a vital force in the creation of a successful business community that will surely benefit your own business. Each of us is an important part of the Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce. What we do to make our Chamber an active and productive force in our city is dependent on each of us supporting the goals we consider important.
You can make a difference. Attached is a list of the functioning committees of your Chamber. If you are interested in serving, please choose the areas where you have specific interests. The Chamber will contact you concerning your involvement. It is important that each committee represents a cross section of our membership, and that the size of the committees does not limit progress.
If you have managers or other employees that would like to be involved in the Chamber committees and program of work, please list their names as well.

Education Committee
Chair: Suzanne Moore Vice Chair: Angie Walterson Staff Liaison: Kerry Baker, Executive Director Meeting Details: Held the second Tuesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. Meeting Location: via Zoom Objective: The committee works closely with school officials to establish scholarships, teacher fellowships, internships, etc. The committee has designed a Five Star program to recognize members who donate to the programs for teachers and students, which includes the Honor Roll 100/Charley P. and Orsolina Toppino Memorial Scholarship, Educational Enrichment, Teacher Recognition, Mentoring, and offering internships or sponsoring classrooms. Also included is Ready, Set College! And the Financial Literacy Program for Key West High School students. |
Golf Tournament
Chair: Greg Sullivan Vice Chair: Bill Lay Staff Liaisons: Kerry Baker, Executive Director and Franchesca Heridia, Membership & Events Coordinator Meeting Details: Held on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. Meeting Location: La Trattoria Oceanside, 3593 S Roosevelt Boulevard, Key West Objective: This committee helps in the planning of the tournament such as recruitment of sponsors, prizes & volunteers. Government & Legislative Affairs
Chair: Joe Caso Staff Liaisons: Kerry Baker, Executive Director Meeting Details: Held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. Meeting Location: Keys Federal Credit Union, 3022 N Roosevelt Boulevard, Key West Objective: The mission of the economic affairs committee should be to work with chamber staff to obtain and analyze data to understand current and future economic conditions and trends which may affect the general business climate in Key West. |
Marketing and Membership Committee
Chairs: Casey Arnold and Amber Shaffer Staff Liaison: Kerry Baker, Executive Director. Meeting Details: Held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. Meeting Location: Member Restaurant Objective: The Marketing/Public Relations and Membership Committee meets to discuss our image and the media in relationship to the chamber, in addition they brainstorm ideas to improve the services and programs the chamber provides to existing members, as well as the recruitment of new members. |
Tourism Committee
Chair: Melissa Kendrick Staff Liaison: Kerry Baker, Executive Director Meeting Details: Held the fourth Tuesday of every other month at 4:00 p.m. Meeting Location: Mel Fisher Museum – 200 Greene Street, Key West Objective: The committee reviews the trends for the previous month, i.e. cruise ship, bed taxes, etc. The committee also addresses hot-button items of the moment. |
