 On Saturday, December 3rd the City of Key West and Waste Management will be holding the monthly free drop off for hazardous waste. The service, available to Key West residents only, is held at Indigenous Park on White Street from 8 a.m. until noon.
Items accepted will be household chemicals and electronics such as but not limited to gasoline (in a leakproof container), oil, batteries, acids, poisons, cleaners, fertilizers, pool chemicals, TVs, microwaves, gaming systems, phones, computer parts and accessories, remote controls, etc. They will not be accepting any household garbage or appliances. 4/13/2023 06:23:22 am
Thank you for having this available to residence or business people. I always thought Key West was forward thinking one human family at Cetera recycling at least trying to recycle some are. Don’t you find it strange that the Spotswood are not complying or adding to the educational saving of our island, Mary Spotswood Park does not have one Recycle Bin and one garbage bin dog bitch has no recycle bin at juice bar next to sushi song selling drinks has no recycle bin bin out front of it or they do not take it… I’ve been to chamber of commerce meetings I was joined with it years back you’re the perfect venue to start to bring awareness to those huge landowners the Spotswood They took over Currie mansion they took over the Saint Hotel. Are they recycling anyway Chamber of Commerce is a perfect way to re-educate the businesses in Key West that are making so much money and are not helping to save our island. I really appreciate if you bring that up at every meeting, and also give some sort of incentive to people who are following The eco-savviness that we should have here on this island and proud to show it. It’s an absolute abhorrent visual to have a public beach dog beach with not one recycle bin there it just shows were backwards not forward, thinking please help the businesses who are making so much money, but yet putting a damper on our island and its resources to have to remove recycle stuff and put it in with the landfill regular garbage , I know somebody knows what to do and thank you for being there to listen and to pass on knowledge hollyakalah 5/16/2024 10:04:56 pm
