Picture
Key West, FL — The Truman Waterfront Farmers Market will present its Green Market themed edition on Thursday, March 19 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Truman Waterfront Park, highlighting sustainability, conservation, and environmentally responsible practices within the Florida Keys community.

The Green Market is part of a new series of themed markets introduced in 2026 that layer seasonal concepts onto the weekly farmers market to create more engaging experiences for both residents and visitors. These themed editions spotlight topics relevant to island life while encouraging guests to linger longer, explore more booths, and connect directly with the growers, makers, and organizations that shape the local community.

For the Green Market, the focus turns to environmental stewardship and the health of the surrounding waters and ecosystems that define life in the Keys. Vendors and participating organizations will highlight eco-friendly practices, sustainable products, native plants, and conservation efforts that help protect the islands and the reef.

Keep Key West Beautiful will be on hand to share information about local environmental initiatives and will lead a brief waterfront park cleanup from 10:30 to 11:00 am prior to vendor load-in. Community members and vendors are invited to participate as a simple way to give back to the park that hosts the market each week.

Reef Relief will also be participating to talk with visitors about their plastic-free initiatives and ongoing efforts to reduce marine debris and protect the coral reef ecosystem. Grimal Grove will be on site demonstrating how to make healthy soil and compost, part of a broader effort to introduce a community composting program that they plan to launch in late April.

Guests can expect the full farmers market experience with fresh produce, baked goods, seafood, artisan foods, handmade crafts, and prepared meals from local vendors. Many booths will feature green-themed specials, eco-conscious products, and educational displays tied to the day’s sustainability theme.

Located on the waterfront at Truman Waterfront Park, the market offers a relaxed island atmosphere with open green space, ocean views, and plenty of room to stroll. Admission is free and the market is easily accessible by foot, bike, or car. Parking is available with four hours free for vehicles displaying a residential parking sticker.

The themed market series continues on April 23 with a National Picnic Day and Conch Republic Celebration edition, encouraging guests to build the perfect waterfront picnic while enjoying the vibrant community atmosphere of the market.

The Truman Waterfront Farmers Market takes place Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Truman Waterfront Park and features dozens of local vendors offering fresh foods, handmade goods, and island-made specialties.
