Small Business Recovery Fund
The Key West Chamber of Commerce Foundation Small Business Recovery Fund was created in 2022 to assist area small businesses get back on their feet after an unexpected disaster. This grant program is designed to aid the most severely impacted businesses. These funds may be used for insurance deductibles that the grantee cannot afford, help with clean up, tree and debris removal, tree replacement and/or property repairs that were caused by the disaster and not covered by insurance.
- Key West area business applicants are eligible for a grant up to $5,000.

To be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:

- Own a business or commercial property in Key West, Florida
- Be current on all local, state, and federal taxes or assessments
- This fund is available to businesses with less than 100 full-time employees. Chamber membership is not required.
- Be located in an industrial, commercial or retail storefront. Home-based or non-profit business do not qualify.
- Have a provable loss including, but not limited to, loss of inventory, structure, or business infrastructure
- Have a loss NOT covered completely by insurance
- Not have sufficient cash on hand to cover loss or insurance deductible
How to apply?

- To apply, businesses must complete the form entirely, and upload an invoice or quote for the improvement project they wish to have considered. Additional documentation may be requested for approval and/or final award of the project. For projects to be constructed/completed, proof of contract/invoice and/or a copy of proof of payment will be required.
- Applications will be reviewed by a committee and awarded monthly until the fund is depleted.

For businesses booking an appointment for assistance at The Greater Key West Chamber of Commerce, you must bring the following in order to ensure that your application is able to be completed in a timely fashion:
- Federal Tax ID
- Copy of business tax returns or the 6 digit number under which they are registered with the State of Florida.
- A description of the project they wish to accomplish or have already accomplished and how it is related to an disaster/emergency
- A quote for the work or item(s) or an invoice and proof of payment for the work/goods already completed
