The Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation and The Society of Presidential Descendants partner to present “Presidential Families Weekend and Forum” in February

The Key West Harry S. Truman Foundation, in partnership with The Society of Presidential Descendants, proudly presents a series of special events in observance of Presidents’ Day Weekend, Thursday, Feb. 12, through Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, on the grounds of the Harry S. Truman Little White House, 111 Front Street, Key West, Florida.


The annual Presidential Descendants Forum, set for Saturday, Feb. 14, serves as the long weekend’s centerpiece event, convening a panel of distinguished descendants of U.S. Presidents for a moderated discussion on this year’s topic, “The Legacy of President Carter.” Sharing their insights and memories will be Amy Carter, daughter of 39th U.S. President Jimmy Carter, James Earl Carter IV and Joshua Carter, both grandsons of President Carter, Susan Ford Bales, daughter of 38th U.S. President Gerald Ford, and Clifton Truman Daniel, grandson of 33rd U.S. President Harry S. Truman.


Other Presidents’ Weekend events are to include a special “Happy Hour at Harry’s” trivia competition, two live performances of the highly acclaimed stage production, “Give ‘Em Hell, Harry!”, announcement of the 2026 Monroe County student essay competition winners, and a traditional Presidents’ Day cookout.
