Key West Botanical Garden Celebrates 90 Year Anniversary

On Friday, Jan. 30, 2026 the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden on College Road will celebrate 90 years as a globally recognized conservation site preserving the rare ecosystem of the Florida Keys.  The all-volunteer board and Executive Director, Misha McRAE invite the community to enjoy the “Petals & Pearls Gala” along with dinner and drinks by Key West Catering and dancing under the stars with music by Skipper & Friends featuring Channing Lynn.  The event will feature guest speakers highlighting the history of the Garden, its vision for the future in preservation and education and a live auction.

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with Hors d/Oeuvres and the signature cocktail “Botanical Breeze”.  Guest speakers include Andrew Markowski as emcee and Mayor Danise “DeeDee” Henriquez presenting a proclamation and remarks about the Garden’s importance.

“I am thrilled to be sharing this evening with all of our community members who approved the 2022 referendum granting the Garden a 99-year lease so that we, as stewards, can continue to be the longest, continuous-running attraction in Key West, Florida; and to be able to preserve this awesome and diverse tropical forest,” said Executive Director, Misha McRAE.
