Hometown! Key West Hosts 2026 Call for Candidates

Hometown! Key West invites incumbents, declared candidates, prospective candidates, and anyone considering a run for office to step forward at the Call for Candidates on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Salute! On The Beach at Higgs Beach.

The event is free and open to the public. Voters will hear directly from those seeking office during what promises to be a pivotal 2026 election cycle.

“Local elections matter,” said Hometown! Chair Todd German. “Voters are engaged, campaigns are underway, and before long the ballot will be set. This is the moment to step forward.”

The 2026 ballot will shape leadership across Monroe County and the City of Key West — including State Senate, State and U.S. Representatives, County Commission, judicial seats, Mayor and City Commission, School Board, Mosquito Control, and Keys Energy Services.
