It’s a wrap! Key West Womenfest—the gathering that has drawn thousands of women from across the globe for more than 20 years—has closed out another unforgettable week of island celebration. The five-day party in paradise, which ran Sept. 2—6, 2026, drew both loyal locals and travelers from near and far for pool parties, sailing trips, gallery tours, a retro prom, an uproarious Jell-O wrestling showdown, a drag king boot-camp, a beloved annual drag brunch, and so much more.
“It was a beautiful reminder of how brilliant, resilient, creative, nurturing, and amazing we are — and how lucky we are to celebrate the shes, hers, and theys of our community and those who visit,” said Fritzie Estimond, Executive Director of the Key West Business Guild, producer of Womenfest. “The week was filled with art, poetry, music, dancing, play, new friendships, and a celebration of our uniqueness. We can’t wait to do it again next year!” Womenfest returns September 1–5, 2027, with the theme Alice in Womenfest — a playful spin on the classic Alice in Wonderland tale. “So start planning — grab your teacups, your playing cards, anything Wonderland-inspired — because next year’s celebration is going to be delightfully mad,” Estimond said. Key West Womenfest 2026 was presented in part by the Monroe County Tourist Development Council and the Key West Business Guild. For more information visit www.gaykeywestfl.com/womenfest/.
