CONCH CONNECT RIDESHARE SERVICE (POWERED BY FREEBEE) BEGINS JULY 15 IN STOCK ISLAND AND KEY WEST7/10/2024
STOCK ISLAND & KEY WEST, FL— Conch Connect (powered by Freebee) is a new, on-demand rideshare service in Stock Island and Key West using all-electric Teslas. Monroe County and a grant from the Florida Dept. of Transportation bring Conch Connect to you.
Starting July 15, Conch Connect will operate 7 days a week from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Rides will cost $2 per rider and can be paid via the Freebee app or by calling 855-918-3733. Cash is not accepted. Users can download the app by searching "Ride Freebee" on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Please request rides at least 20 minutes in advance. I downloaded the app for Freebee rides $2 - conch connect app. But there’s no way to add on a debit or credit card 💳

Thought this was gonna be great for the local community but, so far all I have seen them do is pick up at local hotels and drop off at the airport. Receiving a $20 bill each time. I’m sure that’s is just a tip but, an amazing way to circumvent the city taxi and tnc regulations. Well done Key West!

Is this service for traveling anywhere within the confines of Stock Island and Key West, or just to and from SI & KW?

Its great for locals, but its getting congested tourists using it and taking away the affordable rides away from people who live and serve key west. Idea was brought “affordable rides for working class of key west” and not comply with regulations of key west how taxi’s and transportation services have to deal with and face. This needs to change.

I live in stock island and used this service today to have lunch on Duval. Wonderful, that's all I can say. Im curious as to how this will change for locals in the busy season. The service only has 5 cars now let's hope Monroe county steps up to get more.

It should be for locals not for tourists they have put in Driver license so can say fl keys resident only
