No Farmers Market on Thanksgiving; Black Friday Holiday Shopping Extravaganza Friday November 2911/25/2024  Because of the Thanksgiving Holiday, there will not be a Key West Truman Waterfront Farmers Market this Thursday. Instead, the Black Friday Shopping Extravaganza will be held November 29 from 10 am to 6 pm at the beautiful Truman Waterfront mole by the USCGC Ingham Maritime Museum in Key West. The open-air bazar is hosted by the Truman Waterfront Farmers Market, the Key West Artisan Market and Shop Mom & Pop Key West as an alternative to online and big box stores. One-of-a-kind gifts, unique handmade items, exquisite art and awesome people along with delicious culinary delights, yummy beverages and the views you won't find at any mall make this a can't miss shopping event.
Shoppers can expect fine art and crafts, jewelry, candles, soaps & skin care, sea glass, suncatchers, fine Turkish textiles, hemp products, leather purses, hats, clothing, beach towels, wood signs, living towers and many other creative gift ideas. Stock the pantry and fridge with fresh produce, exotic fruit, cheeses, honey, oils, spices, pickles, pastries, artisan breads, and much more. Food options will include smoothies, popsicles, acai bowls, Mediterranean, authentic Indian, Argentinian, hotdogs, local seafood, ceviche, fish dip, tamales, fresh guacamole & homemade chips and baked goods.  The Key West Artisan Market kicks off its 12th season with the "Welcome to the Party" Fantasy Fest edition Sunday, October 20, 2023, in the parking lot at Sonny Mccoy Indigenous Park, 1801 White Street. This unique show will be from 10 am to 2 pm with all the regular artists and vendors and again from 5 pm to 7 pm with a selection of food and beverage to support the throngs of viewers lined up to watch the Zombie Bike Parade.
The Key West Artisan Market is a unique open air bazaar filled with artists, authors, chef-made cuisine, craftspeople, performers and fresh produce representing diversity, creativity, ingenuity and locally made products. Participants must live and also create/curate in the Keys in order to qualify. Each show offers a different theme and features one or more local charities. The 2024/2025 season offers 22 dates between October and April. There is also a special Fantasy Market Friday, October 25 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Conch Republic Seafood Company/631 Green Street and a huge Black Friday show, November 29 from 10 am to 6 pm at the Truman Waterfront Park. The Market offers free entry and ample free parking. Guests are encouraged to ride bikes and BYOB (bring your own bags). To become a participant, email [email protected] Businesses and Organizations Invited to Participate  Thursday, October 31 the Truman Waterfront Farmers Market will offer a festively spooky atmosphere for parents to bring their children for a free Halloween party and trick or treating at the vendor tents. There will be bounce houses from Four Star Rentals, kid's games and a Halloween music dance party along with plenty of concessions for dinner, sweet treats and beverages. The Key West Fire Department anticipates being on hand with a ladder truck for the kids to explore as well as The City of Key West-Key West Transit's 'haunted bus' for kids of all ages to take a walk through. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the park. The splash pad and playground will also offer even more fun.
The Market opens at 2 pm and the party starts at 4 pm and ends shortly after sunset at 7 pm. Parking is free for locals with a residential sticker. Bikes, ride share and the Duval Loop are encouraged. Local businesses and organizations are invited to register for complimentary space to set up a table or tent to be a trick or treat stop for the kids and hand out candy, provide free activities and/or give-aways. Vendors with concessions, arts, crafts and merchandise for sale are also invited to participate at a reduced rate if they are part of the trick or treat.
