FKCC CAMPS:                                 

All camps will be VIRTUAL this year with a daily schedule of 9am-4pm, lunchbreak at 12pm-12:45pm.

    Campers in this superhero themed camp will spend time learning about a few of the more prominent superheroes in today’s pop culture. They will participate in activities relating to each of them including a variety of concepts like science, arts and crafts, creative writing/storytelling, exercise, history, and more.

KEY WEST SAILING CAMP:

The Key West Community Sailing Center offers Youth Summer Sailing Camp for students ages 5 to 17. Cost per week-long session per student is $250.00 for all classes -Young Beginner, Beginner, and Intermediate. There will be ten, one week sessions, Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.
The Directors, Officers and staff at the Key West Community Sailing Center have a dedicated focus on Safety, Fun, and Learning.

FLORIDA KEYS ECO-DISCOVERY CENTER     

Discovery Saturdays:

The Florida Keys Eco-Discover Center, operated by Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, hosts Discovery Saturday for children in kindergarten through 5th grade on the third Saturday of each month.

Located in NOAA’s Dr. Nancy Foster Florida Keys Environmental Complex on the Truman Waterfront in Key West, the Eco-Discovery Center features more than 6,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, which interpret the resources and management efforts of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, two national parks, and four national wildlife refuges.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB    

Summer Camps will begin June 1 and end August 12th, Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., for ages 5 to 18. Activities include sports, swimming, movies, beaches, dance, art, STEM, gardening, nutrition, and LOTS OF FUN! The cost is $95/week + a $10 membership fee for each child (siblings are half price), children 13 and over are free. Fee includes breakfast, lunch, snack, and field trips. Coral Camp Registration Opens May 1st!

COVID-19 is creating large uncertainty as to when the Florida Keys will open up and return to normal. As of today, camp is scheduled to operate as normal but, this issue is being closely looked at and could very likely change. Big Kids Camp is scheduled for August 3-7. Please contact us for more information on Coral Camp for Big Kids.

Children 6 -12 years of age explore and learn about our surrounding marine environment through exciting educational activities at the Reef Relief Environmental Center in Key West. Each fun-packed day, campers will experience hands-on learning, interactive games and field trips. Field trips include trips to the Key West Marine Park, the Key West Aquarium, and the living coral reef! Each weekly session is limited to 25 campers. Cos is $225/Camper OR $200 each for multiple weeks or siblings. To ensure the safety of our campers scheduled field trips are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions or other safety concerns. Space is limited!

ArtCamp! 2020 is tentatively scheduled and is contingent on local health and government directives. All details are subject to change. Registration for ArtCamp! 2020 will open as soon as state and county health officials deem it safe for the Key West Art and Historical Society to reopen its locations to the public. Just Paint! Camp

July 6-10                     9am-4pm                    ages 6-12                                $125   

Fort East Martello Museum, 3501 S Roosevelt Blvd.

This week of camp is filled with just paint! Campers will learn about printmaking, watercolors, and action painting. This camp concludes with a pop-up exhibition that is curated and installed by the campers. Parents and families are invited to the opening which will take place before pickup on the last day of camp.

 

Live Action History Camp: GRECO PERISAN WARS

July 13-17                   9am-4pm                    ages 6-12                                $125

This program will take our participants back in time to relive the great moments in history. Based on the histories of Herodotus, we will focus on the events that led up to the famous battles at Marathon and Thermopylae as well as what happened after. This camp will feature arts and crafts, character acting, historic content, sword fighting, and battle tactics.

 

Movie Makers Camp: PART 1

July 20-24                   9am-4pm                    ages 6-12                                $125

This 5-day workshop will take our campers behind the scenes of the movie making industry. Participants will have a hands-on experience as they write a script, make costumes, build sets, and create the props to be used in next weeks program, Movie Makers Camp: Part 2. This camp focuses on artistic creativity, cooperation, and teambuilding skills.

 

Movie Makers Camp: PART 2

July 27-31                   9am-4pm                    ages 6-12                                $125

The second part of this 5-day workshop will take our students behind the scenes of the movie making industry. Participants will review the script, cast roles for the film, create theatrical makeup, and learn how to direct a movie. The students will have an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of technology and understanding of the film production process. This week concludes with a premier of the film for parents and families.

  

KEY WEST SPORTS ACADEMY:    

Ten, one-week camps June 15 – August 7, Monday – Friday, 7:30am-3pm. Ages 5-12. Weekly themes with obstacle courses, games, arts & crafts, and more. Themes vary from ninja camp to Frozen camp with a lot in between. Prices vary. For more information, visit www.keywestsportsacademy.com

COVID-19 has changed our plan this year, and we will be doing a VBS GOODY-BAG PICK-UP every Monday in June between 9:30am and 11:30am in front of the church at 600 Eaton Street! Each VBS bag will contain a craft, a bible story and a snack!

2020 PIGEON KEY FOUNDATION AND MARINE SCIENCE CENTER SUMMER CAMP

The Pigeon Key Foundation & Marine Science Center gravitates towards hands-on learning and interaction within the Florida Keys ecosystem, providing campers with a fun and pivotal, one-of-a-kind experience.

PKFMSC offers a variety of marine programs, giving your campers a solid and multi-faceted understanding of the marine world around them. Campers are given a brief background on the subject and then immersed in the field, allowing them to utilize their newly acquired knowledge.

Programs include Marine Habitats of the Florida Keys, Invertebrate Biodiversity, Reef Fish Identification, Marine Adaptations, Shark Biology & Dissection, Plankton Lab, and many others.

Other activities include a variety of games, marine organism scavenger hunts, an underwater obstacle course, a Sombrero Reef snorkel trip aboard a 40-foot catamaran called the “Jolly Roger”, and many more.

Day camp costs $350, runs 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, and is for ages 8-16. Overnight camp costs $950, runs 9am Monday-5pm Friday, and is for ages 10-16. Price includes…
