Key West International Airport, a 10 minute drive from the downtown area, welcomes airlines such as U.S. Airways, Continental, Delta and American Eagle. Most flights either connect through larger cities including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando and Atlanta. Car rentals, taxis, and bus service are available at the airport. Once you arrive, leave the car keys behind. The two-by-four mile island is ideal for bikes, scooters and your own two feet. Rental shop owners supply bicycles equipped with necessary lights and locks, and scooter agents make sure that all the drivers are comfortable before sending them off.
